For the past two years, I have made the unusual call of fly fishing the upper Madison River in March. I am glad I did. Some of the largest trout of the year are caught in the dead of Winter.
In January, 2017, I experienced Paradise Valley, outside of Livingston, Montana, in the dead of Winter. Like many, I wondered what the Yellowstone River would look like amidst a frozen landscape.
